Luis Alberto has attracted interest from the Championship after his proposed move to Sevilla fell through.
The Liverpool midfielder appeared on course to rejoin his former club but the Europa League holders baulked at the player’s valuation of £7 million.
Alberto spent last season on loan at Deportivo La Coruna and has been told he has no place in Jurgen Klopp’s plans for the forthcoming season.
His last appearance for the Reds came during a Merseyside derby win over Everton in January 2014.
A host of Championship clubs are keen on the 23-year-old, including Wolves, Aston Villa and Queens Park Rangers.
