Adam Bogdan set to seal Liverpool FC exit this week

Liverpool will offload out-of-favour goalkeeper Adam Bogdan to Wigan Athletic later this week.

Bogdan failed to force his way into Jurgen Klopp’s plans following a series of error-strewn performances on the occasions that he succeeded Simon Mignolet as the Reds’ first-choice.

The arrival of Loris Karius and Alex Manninger’s current attempts to earn a deal at Anfield have left the Hungarian resigned to leaving the club after little over 12 months.

A return to the Championship with Wigan is now on the horizon for the former Bolton stopper, who will undergo a medical in the coming days.

He will become Liverpool’s eight departure of this summer, following the exits of Jordon Ibe, Martin Skrtel, Jerome Sinclair, Kolo Toure, Sergi Canos, Joao Teixeria, Jordan Rossiter and Samed Yesil.
