Liverpool’s newest cocktail bar, troche restaurant and event space, sickness District House, set in one of the city’s most iconic areas, officially opened on Thursday 14th July with a spectacular launch evening.
Guests were entertained all night long with live performances from Liverpool-based singer, Clare Sophia, before X Factor star, Anton Stephans, took to the stage. After an array of tasting platters and show-stopping desserts were served with the help of a dance flash mob, DJs opened the dance floor and were accompanied by percussionist and sax duo who kept the party going into the early hours.
Steven Hesketh, founder of Know Hospitality Ltd, said: “It was a truly fantastic evening and we’re thankful to all of the guests who came to show their support for this new venue. This marks the start of a new beginning for District House and we’ve got some exciting events planned over the next few months that we hope the people of this city will enjoy.”
Located on Water Street, District House has capacity for up to 600 guests as an event space or 350 diners across the new cocktail lounge, restaurant and private dining mezzanine, following a £1 million investment.
The project has been overseen by directors of the Know Hospitality Ltd, Steven Hesketh and Andy Duckworth, creating a total of 60 new jobs for the city and employing some of the most talent individuals from the region’s hospitality sector.
