Liverpool have been dealt a potential blow in their pursuit of Mahmoud Dahoud after he spoke out about a move away from his current club.
Liverpool have yet to secure the signing of Mahmoud Dahoud from Borussia Monchengladbach despite the fact that Klopp is prepared to pay €30 million for the youngster.
The 20-year-old has now spoken out about suggestions that he needs to leave Borussia-Park in thie summer transfter window as there is still much to improve in his game.
“I am fully focused on Monchengladbach at the moment, price ” Dahoud told Kicker. “Who says I should leave Gladbach? I still have room for improvement. My finishing has to improve, I have to get stronger in the air and I can still improve physically to get stronger on the pitch.”
The Germany under-21 international has two years remaining on his current contract at Gladbach and it is understood that the club are eager to tie him down to a new deal, especially following the loss of Granit Xhaka.
