Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is set to cut down his squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
Fresh from signing a new contract until 2022, the German is keen to trim down the 39 players the Reds used in the previous campaign due to the absence of European football.
Kolo Toure and Jose Enrique have already been released while a £4 million compensation deal was agreed with Watford to secure Jerome Sinclair’s departure.
However reports today suggest that Klopp could ship out as many as eight more players from his squad.
With Christian Benteke and Jordon Ibe’s sales expected to generate over £70 million which could leave Liverpool to make a trading profit during the summer transfer window.
Liverpool have accepted a £15 million offer from Bournemouth for Ibe whilst the summer’s biggest departure will likely be Benteke with Liverpool insisting on offers exceeding £30 million after rejecting Crystal Palace’s club initial offer for the Belgian.
Martin Skrtel is also close to agreeing his departure from Anfield with switch to Fenerbahce.
Liverpool also want to offload Mario Balotelli with two Serie A clubs keen on securing his signature.
Sevilla have confirmed their interest in Joe Allen and Luis Alberto, with Anfield officials aiming to recoup £17 million from the pair.
A £2.5million offer for Sergi Canos has already been accepted from Norwich City, whilst Besiktas have revived their interest in Lucas Leiva.
