Everton are closing in on the signing of Chelsea’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
Dewsbury-Hall featured in every game for Enzo Maresca’s side in their Conference League run after last summer’s move from Leicester City.
He was also part of the west Londoners’ squad which won the newly rebranded Club World Cup earlier this summer in the United States.
But the midfielder is set to leave Stamford Bridge in favour of a move to the Blues, who previously attempted to sign him in the January transfer window.
A deal worth £25 million upfront is understood to be in the process of being finalised to secure Dewsbury-Hall’s move to the blue half of Merseyside.
He will become the fifth signing of the summer at Hill Dickinson Stadium as David Moyes eyes more additions before the new campaign gets underway.
Meanwhile Everton have tabled a third offer for Southampton winger Tyler Dibling after their most recent bid in the region of £27M was rejected.
It will mark the third approach for the teenage prospect, who has been on several top flight clubs’ radars, including Chelsea, throughout the summer.
An improved package worth £40M is now on the table for the Saints to consider but may require a higher fee in order to prise Dibling away.
