Jordan Pickford has sealed a second Premier League end of season award.

The Everton goalkeeper was crowned Save of the Season winner for a record-setting second time for a heroic stop in February’s win at Newcastle.

It saw Pickford become the first multiple recipient of the honour after a season in which he pulled clear as the Save of the Month’s overall winner.

But the England international has now received further recognition for another imperious display for the Blues in their historic home opener against Brighton.

David Moyes’ marked a first-ever competitive game at Hill Dickinson Stadium with a 2-0 win over their visitors in which Pickford played a significant role.

The Everton No.1 made a formidable save to deny Danny Welbeck from the penalty spot while also holding off the Seagulls to record a clean sheet.

Pickford saw off competition from five top-flight counterparts with a display that Moyes claimed ‘probably changed the outcome of the game’ in August.
