Liverpool FC line up move for Real Madrid prodigy

Liverpool have made an enquiry for Real Madrid youngster Martin Odegaard, according to reports.

The 17-year-old Norwegian has been a long-term target for the Reds, and came close to joining the club in 2015 after taking a tour of the club’s Melwood training centre.

However, the prodigiously talented attacking midfielder eventually plumped for current club Real Madrid over Liverpool, and now finds himself way down the pecking order with Champions League winners after failing to displace a host of top stars.

Odegaard has made one solitary La Liga appearance since joining Real, instead featuring 34 times for the club’s B team last campaign.

And Tribal Football claims that the former Strømsgodset player could now look to find regular first-team football elsewhere, with Liverpool touted as a potential summer destination.

It is claimed that Anfield officials have already made contact with their Santiago Bernabeu counterparts in an attempt to wrap up a deal for the sought-after Norway international, with Odegaard’s camp thought to be keen on moving the teenager on during the close season.
