Jurgen Klopp orders want-away Liverpool FC star to report for pre-season

Want-away Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli has been ordered to return to Anfield by Jurgen Klopp.

Balotelli’s future remains uncertain after AC Milan passed up the chance to re-sign the Italy striker following a disappointing season-long loan spell with his former club.

The 24-year-old scored just three times in 23 appearances, with Liverpool looking to move the striker on during the summer transfer window, however there are few suitors willing to take him on due to high wages.

A number of clubs in Italy, Turkey and China are reportedly interested however his fees are a sticking point.

Gazetta World claim that Balotelli, who failed to force his way into Italy’s squad for Euro 2016, has been told by Klopp that he must report to Melwood on July 2 for the first day of the club’s pre-season training schedule.

Klopp has yet to encounter the one-time Manchester City man since taking to the Anfield hot seat but a recent biography claimed that the Liverpool manager was unimpressed with the player during his time at Borussia Dortmund.
