Mainz goalkeeper Loris Karius has arrived in Liverpool to complete his £4.7 million move to Anfield.
The highly-rated German stopper has been a star performer for the Bundesliga side this season, attracting the attention of Reds manager Jurgen Klopp in the process.
And, with current first-choice Simon Mignolet floundering in recent months, Liverpool have moved quickly to tie up a deal for the 22-year-old.
Karius touched down on Merseyside earlier today and is set to undergo a medical with the Anfield club in the next 24 hours before ironing out the finer details of his transfer.
The former Manchester City academy prospect is in line to become Klopp’s second signing of the close season following the acquistion of Schalke’s Joel Matip.
