Kolo Toure claims Liverpool will be motivated by their recent Wembley heartache when they step out at the Europa League final.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are set to undertake their second showpiece of the season when they take on reigning holders Sevilla, in five days’ time.
But the wounds from February’s Capital One Cup final defeat to Manchester City remain for the Reds.
And Toure believes that that penalty shoot-out heartbreak will spur Liverpool on next week in Basel.
He said: “We will use the defeat we had against Man City because I think we didn’t play really well, to be honest.
“I don’t know why, maybe because it was our first final (under Klopp) and we felt the pressure a lot.
“But I think in this final we just have to enjoy it, give everything you’ve got and fight.
“When you get to that stage, that means you’ve been giving everything you’ve got and doing everything right but in the end it will have won winner.
“If you give everything you’ve got, at the end, you have no regrets.”
