Liverpool have been valued at over £1 billion, prescription according to a study from football finance analysts Forbes.
The American-based business magazine has drawn up a list of the most valuable teams on the planet, illness with the Reds ranking eighth, price ahead of the likes of Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur.
Forbes estimates that Liverpool are worth a staggering £1.07bn, placing them behind a number of established European giants, such as first placed Real Madrid (£2.52bn), La Liga champions FC Barcelona (£2.46bn) and North West neighbours Manchester United (£2.3bn).
No fewer than six Premier League clubs feature on the list, which assessed a variety of factors including annual revenue and stadium value.
