It is a room usually designated for newlyweds as they spend the first evening together as a married couple, but 30 James St’s presidential suite – which is home to Liverpool’s biggest hotel bed – is being mooted to accommodate the Giants when they return to the city in October.
The Giants are gracing the city for a final farewell performance next month – as part of its 2018 celebrations marking 10 years since its reign as European Capital of Culture. World-leading street theatre company Royal de Luxe will once again bring their incredible creations, which is set to attract thousands of visitors.
And 30 James St’s presidential suite can comfortably sleep up to six people, and, due its sheer size and opulence is seen as the perfect place to accommodate the sleepy giants. It is also home to a plush champagne turret seating area, offering stunning views of the waterfront.
Speaking about the prospect of the Giants staying at 30 James St, Signature Living co-founder Katie Kenwright said:
“The Giant spectacular has lifted the lid on Liverpool’s unique culture spirit. When they first visited, the magical stories touched the hearts of thousands across the city and beyond.
“If the Giants are looking for somewhere to sleep on their three-day tour, we would be delighted to host them in the presidential suite – the beds can sleep up to six humans so the Giants will definitely have enough space. The suite also boasts stunning views of the city’s historic landmarks and I’m sure will leave a lasting impression on the street puppets.”
