Georginio Wijnaldum is reportedly considering a shock Liverpool exit.
Wijnaldum was a regular fixture in the Reds’ run to the Champions League final last season but is now thought to be considering a future elsewhere.
The summer arrivals of Naby Keita and Fabinho have intensified competition in midfield, making the Holland international’s starring role far from certain.
And reports in Turkey claim that Wijnaldum could be set to join Fenerbahce.
According to ‘A Spor’, the Istanbul-based club are confident of landing the 27-year-old after recently appoInting his former PSV Eindhoven boss Phillip Cocu.
Cocu handed Wijnaldum the captain’s armband during their time at PSV and may be able to convince his former protege to move to the Turkish Super Lig.
However there is no guarantee that Liverpool would entertain selling Wijnaldum, who operated in a variety of roles for the club last season.
