Emre Can will leave Liverpool next month after finalising a move to Juventus.
The midfielder’s remaining contract at Anfield is set to expire on June 30 and is set to link up with the Serie A champions the following day on a free transfer.
Reds chiefs failed to convince the Germany international to a sign new deal as his four-year spell drew to an unceremonious and protracted end.
Can scored 14 times in 167 appearances for Liverpool and played a bit-part role in last month’s Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.
“Today is the first day of a new chapter of my life,” he said on his Instagram account.
“I want to say thank you to all the people of Liverpool , to my coaches, to the staff, to the staff behind the staff, the supporters, to everyone.
“I will always think back with a smile and one piece of my heart will always be in Liverpool.
“It was a big honour for me to play for Liverpool. I hope to see you one day again. Take care.”
