Jurgen Klopp believes Liverpool deserve a place in the Champions League final.
A last four win over Roma saw the Reds book their place in next month’s Kiev showpiece for a meeting with reigning holders Real Madrid.
They secured their place courtesy of a 7-6 aggregate win over the Serie A side, despite a 4-2 defeat in the Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday evening.
It will be the third final that Klopp has contested as Liverpool manager and he believes his side are more than worthy of their place in it.
“You don’t come to the final without luck, we needed only one time and that was tonight,” he told BT Sport.
“If we play as we usually do we don’t need it tonight and we win the game but we didn’t and it’s right that we lost it.
“Real Madrid needed luck yesterday and maybe against Juventus too so that’s how it is and nobody asks.
“Now we have two very important Premier League games and then two weeks to prepare for the game and we will try everything to do that in the best way.
“Let’s go there and try our best.
“It’s the final, it’s not going to change. The boys deserve it, come on, the campaign. The character they’ve shown, the mentality they’ve shown, the football they’ve shown, that’s just crazy.
“We are all-inclusive, sometimes I like it, sometimes I don’t need it and tonight after the game I’m okay with it.
“We should start winning finals and I know that it. I said it before the semifinals that everyone will remind me from now on that I lost the last five finals but life is like this.
“The only chance to win a final is to go there and we will try it again.”
