A huge new residential scheme that will boost regeneration efforts in North Liverpool is being brought forward by Legacie Developments.
The company announced today (Monday 16 April) that work on Azure Residence, an impressive luxury apartment and retail development, will start imminently.
Striking new images of the £20 million project at Rose Place reveal a continuation of the transformation of the area around St Anne Street on the immediate outskirts of Liverpool city centre.
The development will include 127 one, two and three-bedroom apartments, gymnasium and 4000 sq ft of new retail space.
The scheme will also create between 80-100 jobs during the construction phase which is expected to be completed by December 2019. Meanwhile, 30 full-time administrative and service jobs are expected to be created when the residential complex opens.
Azure Residence is the latest in a number of flagship developments changing the face of North Liverpool.
The new Merseyside Police headquarters is expected to be located opposite the development on land between Scotland Road and St Anne Street, behind the existing St Anne Street police station.
Investment in the area comes after the success of Project Jennifer – the brainchild of Liverpool Mayor Joe Anderson – kick-started regeneration efforts in 2016.
Commenting on the forthcoming development, a spokesperson for Legacie Developments, said:
“Azure Residence will deliver high quality apartment living, new retail and leisure opportunities. Above all, it will continue the transformation of the Scotland Road and St Anne Street area into a vibrant and thriving place to live.
We very much see this development as an extension to Liverpool city centre and our target market will be people who want city centre living.
We’re looking forward to starting work and continuing our positive contribution to the booming development activity currently underway in Liverpool. We want to play our part in the city’s resurgence as a brilliant destination to live and work.”
Azure Residence is just the latest in a series of high profile residential projects by Legacie Developments. The company is responsible for the restoration of Reliance House on Water Street and other residential schemes including the redevelopment of Dale Street shops which was once part of the ECHO’s ‘stop the rot campaign’.
Legaice is also currently developing Ropermaker Place on Renshaw Street. The company partners with Liverpool-based Ascot Property Investments who have delivered millions in international finance for the schemes.
