Marouane Fellaini could make a shock move to Liverpool this summer.
The Manchester United midfielder’s contract is set to expire at the end of the current campaign and he is considering Anfield as a potential destination.
According to L’Equipe, Fellaini is set to be offered a three-year contract after emerging as the Reds’ choice to fill the void left by Emre Can’s likely exit.
Can is expected to join Juventus on a free transfer when his current deal, like the Belgium international, is set to run at the end of June.
Fellaini spent five years with Liverpool’s local rivals Everton before a £27 million move to Old Trafford, where he has made over 100 outings since 2013.
Should he join Jurgen Klopp’s side as a free agent, the 30-year-old would become the first player since 1964 to move directly between United and Liverpool.
