Dani Ceballos reportedly wants to secure a summer move to Liverpool.
Ceballos has struggled to force his way into Zinedine Zidane’s first-team plans at Real Madrid since his £16 million switch from Real Betis last summer.
The 21-year-old made just seven La Liga outings for the reigning European champions, scoring twice, in 17 appearances from all competitions.
But reports in Spain claim that Ceballos remains intent on joining the ranks at Anfield after he was denied a January departure from the Bernabeu.
According to El Chiringuito TV, Liverpool emerged as a suitor for the former Spain u21 international last month only for Real to reject the approach.
Emre Can’s likely departure from the Reds this summer would make Ceballos an ideal candidate to replace the outgoing German midfielder.
However they will face a stern challenge in convincing Los Blancos to part with Ceballos, who has a €500m release clause in his current contract.
