Lazar Markovic has sealed a fourth loan move of his Liverpool career.
The Serbia international last featured for the Reds almost three years ago and continues to find himself surplus to requirement under Jurgen Klopp.
Markovic spent last season on loan at both Sporting Lisbon and Hull City as well as a season-long spell with Fenerbahche the year before.
And the 23-year-old is now set for another stint away from Anfield after completing a transfer deadline day switch to Anderlecht.
Wolfsburg and Swansea City had previously emerged as contenders for Markovic’s signature but both sides dropped out at the eleventh hour.
The Welsh club were in pole position for the winger, only to shift their focus to a successful pursuit of a deal for Leicester City’s Andy King.
Since his £20 million arrival from Benfica, Markovic scored three goals in 34 appearances but has not made a Liverpool first-team appearance since 2015.
Other outgoings from Merseyside on deadline day included defender Jon Flanagan, who joined Bolton Wanderers until the end of the season.
Under-23 duo Harry Wilson and Ovie Ejaria both sealed temporary moves to the Championship with Hull City and Sunderland respectively.
