Paris Saint-Germain star snubs Liverpool

Javier Pastore has reportedly turned down a move to Liverpool.

Pastore is said to have emerged as a target for the Reds as they seek a direct replacement to fill the void left by Philippe Coutinho’s departure to Barcelona.

Tottenham are also credited with joining the hunt for the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder however it is claimed he spurned a switch to the Premier League.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio in Italy, both side made approaches for Pastore this month in the hopes of bolstering their current options.

Offers totalling between €25 million and €40m were reportedly made but the Argentina international snubbed the chance to speak to both Liverpool and Spurs.

Pastore is currently out of favour at the Parc des Princes and is understood to be keen on a return to Italy, where he made his name with Palermo.

Inter Milan are expected to be the favourites for the 28-year-old’s signature.
