Jordan Henderson is set to return for Liverpool in this weekend’s FA Cup clash with West Brom.
The Reds host Alan Pardew’s side on Saturday evening after knocking out Everton in the third round earlier this month.
Henderson has missed the last six games after picking up a hamstring injury in the 3-3 draw with Arsenal on December 22.
Jurgen Klopp considered including him in the squad for Monday night’s defeat to Swansea City but elected against it.
Since then Henderson has stepped up his fitness regime and will now be in serious contention for the fourth round tie.
Liverpool are likely to make several changes, given they face a trip to take on Huddersfield Town just three days after this game.
And that could see Henderson play his part as Klopp looks to avoid the kind of burnout that hit his squad at this stage of last season.
