Real Madrid are said to be lining up a summer move for Mohamed Salah.
Salah has enjoyed a flying start to his Liverpool career with 24 goals in his opening 31 appearances to date this season.
But the African Player of the Year is already the subject of a possible switch away from Anfield according to Abou Rida, the head of Egypt’s football association.
National coach Hector Cuper claimed last month that it had been ‘confirmed’ to him that the reigning European champions are interested in signing Salah.
However Rida has gone further in alleging that Real will up the ante by making an offer to Liverpool for the 25-year-old at the end of this season.
He said: “Real Madrid will make an offer for Salah during the summer.
“Salah is now looking to improve his game.
“Obviously if an Egyptian plays for a club as popular around the world as Real Madrid, it’s going to be great for Egyptian football.”
