Sturridge tells Liverpool preferred exit destination

Daniel Sturridge has told Liverpool that he wants to join Sevilla this month.

Sturridge is expected to leave Anfield in the current transfer window as he seeks regular game time to ensure his place in England’s World Cup squad.

A host of clubs have been linked with the out-of-favour Reds striker’s signature, both in the Premier League and across Europe including Inter Milan.

However the Mirror claim that Sturridge has held talks with the Liverpool hierarchy to try and secure a move to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Sevilla reportedly saw one loan offer rejected by Anfield officials, who will only entertain such a deal if it has a compulsory purchase at the end of the switch.

Jurgen Klopp would prefer a permanent exit for around £30 million but Liverpool are prepared to loan out Sturridge if it will guarantee that figure at a later date.

The La Liga giants are yet to make such an offer but the 28-year-old has reportedly asked Liverpool to try and find a way to make the move to Spain happen.
