Liverpool are expected to stage a double transfer raid on Roma this summer.
Jurgen Klopp has already benefited from the Serie A giants with the signing Mohamed Salah, who arrived from Roma in a £36.9 million move, last year.
But the Reds manager is now said to be plotting to return to the Italian capital to bolster his defensive options to supplement the Egyptian’s impressive goal haul.
Chief among Klopp’s summer targets is expected to be goalkeeper Alisson, with Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius both struggling to become Anfield’s top stopper.
Reports in the Brazil international’s homeland claim that Liverpool have identified him among their top targets although an approach has yet to be made to Roma.
Alisson’s agent Ze Maria downplayed suggestions that the 25-year-old could be set to leave the Stadio Olimpico, insisting his client remains happy in Italy.
“For now, I haven’t been contacted by anyone,” he told Pagine Romaniste.
“New contract? Not yet, but he still has three-and-a-half years left on his current deal.
“We’re not in a hurry. Alisson is very happy at Roma.”
Liverpool are also tipped to move for Alisson’s Roma teammate Kevin Strootman.
Strootman, 27, has struggled for a regular run of games in his five seasons with the Giallorossi, making just 108 appearances since arriving from PSV Eindhoven.
According to R.IT Sports, however, Klopp is prepared to take a gamble on the Holland international with Emre Can expected to join Juventus on a free transfer.
Anfield officials are said to be willing to meet Strootman’s £40m release clause to help strengthen their holding midfield alongside Naby Keita’s impending arrival.
