Salah among world’s top 20 most-valued players

Mohamed Salah has been ranked as one of football’s 20 most-valuable players.

Salah’s stock continues to rise after joining Liverpool last summer on a £36.9 million deal from Roma, scoring 23 goals in 29 games to date this season.

The Egyptian is already one of the Reds’ fastest-scoring players and is currently just one goal behind Harry Kane as the Premier League’s current top scorer.

His increasing value to Liverpool has now been represented by the CIES Football Observatory, who placed him as the 15th most-valuable player in their latest rankings.

Salah is now worth an estimated £140.5m, a value that places him ahead of former Liverpool players Luis Suarez (£128.7m) and Philippe Coutinho (£123m).
