Borussia Dortmund have hinted that plan to join the race to sign Emre Can.
The midfielder is free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with non-English clubs from next month after refusing to commit his future to Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp remains relaxed about Can’s rapidly expiring contract at Anfield and believes that an extension could still be agreed before the end of this season.
However the Reds manager’s former club appear to be preparing to challenge Juventus for the 23-year-old’s signature in the January transfer window.
Juve’s CEO Beppe Marotta hinted that other European sides were also monitoring Can’s future.
And Dortmund chief Michael Zorc opened the door to the Germany international becoming a viable addition at Signal Iduna Park.
“[Can is] an excellent player,” he told Sky Deutschland.
“He is in the sights of the very, very large clubs of Europe.”
