Liverpool are reportedly set to beat a host of rivals to the £30 million signing of Michy Batshuayi from Marseille.
Batshuayi has been in excellent form for the Ligue 1 side this season, with 19 goals across all competitions, despite the club’s indifferent campaign.
The Belgian international has attracted interest from across Europe, however the Daily Mirror claim that Reds manager Jurgen Klopp could now make a solid move for Batshuayi as he seeks to refresh his squad.
Should Batshuayi make the move to Anfield, it could spell the end of compatriot Christian Benteke’s time on Merseyside.
Benteke has been linked with a move to fellow Premier League side West Ham and Champions League semi-finalists Atletico Madrid.
