Joe Allen is in line for a new Liverpool contract as reward for his impressive run of form this season.
Allen’s current deal expires next summer but the Wales international has emerged as an impact player for the Reds this season, making a number of notable substitute contributions in the Europa League.
And Jurgen Klopp has given Allen renewed hope that his future remains at Anfield by hinting that talks over an extension may be on the horizon.
He said: “He deserves a future here, for sure. He is in brilliant shape.
“We will see what happens but for me it is not the time about his contract right now.”
