Liverpool ONE’s Christmas lights will be switched on Thrursday November 9 featuring the well loved 30 foot Christmas Tree.
The event starts at 4pm on the day with festive street performances, including storytelling, dancing, singing and special effects. There will be appearances from Christmas panto stars and it is likely that a very special guest will be visiting the event before the Christmas rush.
The famous Bar Hutte will be located underneath the Christmas Tree and there will also be a number of Christmas food and drink stalls on Chavasse Park.
Liverpool One’s Shops and restaurants will be staying open late on the day of the event.
Donna Howitt, Marketing Director at Liverpool ONE, said: “It’s the most wonderful time of the year. For the past few months the team at the Liverpool Empire have been working with choirs from across the region in preparation for the light switch on which is always a firm favourite within the city and certainly not one to miss.
“Our iconic tree will be at the heart of our celebrations with dazzling light shows and the ultimate selfie opportunities!”
Those visiting Liverpool ONE in the run up to Christmas are encouraged to share their experiences on social media using the hashtag #GetChristmassy – with prizes for the best posts.
