Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been forced to deny claims of a rift with Jordon Ibe.
Ibe made his first appearance since January during yesterday’s win over Bournemouth amid speculation his long-term future is set to lie away from Anfield.
A series of cryptic posts on the 20-year-old’s social media profiles last week fuelled rumours that he could be set to leave Liverpool this summer with suggestions that a fallout with Klopp was at the heart of it.
But the Reds boss, speaking after the win over the Cherries, insists that such claims are wide of the mark.
He said: “Jordon Ibe [has had] not the most easy time.
“I have heard something that he has some problems with me or something – absolutely not,”
“Only a few young players come up and sometimes you’re in the squad and sometimes you’re not.
“He is still a brilliant, big, big talent and good for English football. He did well today.”
