Liverpool FC join Manchester United in race to sign £15m Portuguese attacker

Liverpool have reportedly joined Manchester United in the race to secure the signing of Braga attacker Rafa Silva.

Silva is one of the hottest prospects in Portuguese football and has shown outstanding potential since arriving from Feirense in 2013.

The 22-year-old has been on the radar of  several top European clubs with some excellent displays this season. The youngster has netted 9 goals and provided 8 assists so far.

And the Daily Star claim that Liverpool have now joined Manchester United in the race for his signature with reports stating that Braga are willing to let him go at £15m.

The newspaper has stated that United have sent scouts to check on Silva throughout the season with former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho keen on signing the attacker if he is to replace Louis van Gaal at the end of the season.

Liverpool are also preparing for a busy summer of signings with Jurgen Klopp putting his stamp on the squad. The German coach has set his sights on Silva due to the future of Jordan Ibe being uncertain.
