Liverpool have been paired with Spanish side Villarreal in the Europa League semi-final draw.
Jurgen Klopp’s team, who triumphed over Borussia Dortmund last night, will face the fourth-placed La Liga side at El Madrigal on April 28th, with the second-leg at Anfield scheduled for May 5th.
Opponents Villarreal are unbeaten in 11 Europa League matches and come into the tie off the back of a 6-3 aggregate victory over Czech side Sparta Prague.
The Yellow Submarines, who hail from the Valencian community on the east coast of Spain, count former Spurs striker Roberto Soldado and Congolese sensation Cédric Bakambu amongst their ranks.
The winners of the tie will nominally take the role of ‘home team’ for the final against either Shakhtar Donetsk or holders Sevilla at Basel’s St. Jakob-Park stadium on Wednesday May 18th.
