Philippe Coutinho could reportedly go on strike to force a move to Barcelona.
Liverpool remain unwilling to sell their playmaker despite repeated approaches by the Catalan giants, who have seen £72 million and £90.2m bids rejected.
Coutinho informed the Anfield hierarchy last week of his plans to leave just days after Barca had seen their second offer for the player turned down.
Numerous reports in Spain have suggested that the Brazil international will not play again for Liverpool amid the stand-off over his immediate future..
But Mundo Deportivo claim that Coutinho is prepared to help engineer a move to the Nou Camp further since tabling his transfer request to the Reds last Friday.
The 25-year-old is also said to be willing to jeopardise his prospects ahead of next year’s World Cup in order to secure that dream switch to Barcelona.
Coutinho has missed Liverpool’s previous two games against Watford and Hoffenheim due to a back injury sustained during pre-season.
Jurgen Klopp admitted that the final decision on Coutinho will rest with club owners Fenway Sports Group, whose statement preceded the player’s transfer request.
