Liverpool are reportedly set to sign highly rated Ipswich Town midfielder Andre Dozzell, despite the youngster never making a senior appearance.
Dozzell, who’s father Jason also played for the Tractor Boys and Tottenham, has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs, however it appears that Liverpool have won the race for his signature.
Dozzell, who is not 17 until next month, would be eligible to leave Ipswich for free as he is still on a youth contract, however they would be due a compensation fee, estimated to be around £1.5m.
Despite not playing for the Ipswich first team, Dozzell has impressed greatly a youth level, with two goals in nine appearances for England U17s this season.
