On Sunday July 9 pirates will take over the Wirral as they walk to raise money for The Wirral Dog Rescue.
Across New Brighton, families are invited to join the Pirate Walk to help raise much needed funds for the Wirral Dog Rescue.
The route includes spots where pirates had once came to while smuggling their treasure, including Black Perch Rock and Mother Redcap.
Two notorious hiding places for pirates back in the day, on Sunday along the walk you’ll come across much more friendlier pirates at the hidden coves.
While in Hoylake, you can learn about the bravery of Grace Darling who raised the alarm to prevent a ship from crashing into the rocks during a storm.
Beside the Life Guard Station, the sister ship ‘Grace Darling’, named in her honour, will be docked.
The family-friendly walk spans for 8 miles on flat ground and there’ll be prizes for the best dressed pirates, wether you’re young or old.
To take part in the Pirate Walk there’s a £5 fee for adults and £2 for children, while children under the age of two go free.
The walk begins at 9:30am on Sunday, dogs are invited to come along with all entry fees and funds raised going towards The Wirral Dog Rescue.
