Marco Pierre White has helped raised over £9,000 for a Merseyside charity.
The celebrity chef returned to his Steakhouse and Grill restaurant in Liverpool to support Arrowe Park’s new charity IncuBabies with a special dinner event.
IncuBabies are raising money to help fund an extension for the intensive care baby unit in the women’s and neonatal unit at the Wirral hospital.
Guests were treated to a three-course meal especially curated by Marco himself, with the opportunity to meet him and receive a personally signed copy of his book ‘Essentially Marco’.
In total the event raised £9,400 on the night for the IncuBabies charity.
Marco said: “After hearing about the challenges that are being faced at Arrowe Park Hospital, I knew the steakhouse would want to get behind them and do its bit to help.
“It was a pleasure to meet the inspiring women behind the campaign on the night and I am over the moon that so much money was raised.”
IncuBabies fundraiser Mandy Molby was moved by Marco’s compassion.
She said: “We are thrilled at how much money was raised on the night for such an important cause – and we have to thank Marco and the amazing team at the restaurant for hosting such a great evening.
“For Marco to support the IncuBabies charity is simply amazing. He spoke to every single guest on the evening and he could not have given us more of his time.
“After meeting him on the night I was personally touched by his compassion and enthusiasm for the work IncuBabies carries out.
“I know Marco will be now be a close friend to the charity.”
