The Brink have expanded their well-being schedule with a new Tai Chi workshop.
It is the latest offering from a wide range of creative outlets available to visitors of the Liverpool city centre’s first dry bar and restaurant.
Led by Angela Howarth, an internationally acclaimed gold medallist in the London Competition for Traditional Tai Chi Chuan, the workshop will run for six weeks.
The trainer has also won a duo of bronze accolades in the prestigious British Tai Chi Open Championships.
David Barnicle, events manager at The Brink, said: “Here at The Brink, our main focus is on wellbeing and recovery.
“And with this in mind we like to incorporate a number of activities and events into our calendar to encourage our visitors to enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle.
“We’re very excited to have Angela on board, as not only has she been teaching Tai Chi for fifteen years, she has scooped an impressive array of medals including two golds, two silvers and a bronze in the London Competition for Traditional Tai Chi Chuan, together with two bronze in the British Tai Chi Open Championship held in Oxford.
“As part of the workshop here at The Brink, Angela will demonstrate Tai Chi techniques and practises, in addition to relaying the ample health benefits of the exercise.”
The entry level Tai Chi course will be joining a packed schedule of events at The Brink, alongside Garden Club, Singing for the Soul and Morning Meditation to name a few.
There’s a free taster session on June 14 and then begins a six week run on June 21 at 6:45pm.
The ‘Introduction to Tai Chi’ course costs £25 and can be booked at thebrinkliverpool.com.
