Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Liverpool’s late capitulation against Bournemouth nearly made him vomit.
The Cherries snatched a point at Anfield courtesy of Joshua King’s 87th minute equaliser, with the visitors trailing to the Reds for the previous 28 minutes.
Klopp’s side are no strangers to dropping points against so-called lesser teams, having previously lost to Bournemouth, Hull City and Swansea this term.
Those results have been in stark contrast to their fine form against the top six sides and Klopp says he must bear the responsibility for these mistakes.
He said: “Usually you close the game in one moment, we didn’t. We left it open.
“Then it’s a second ball [for the equaliser] after a set piece and that made me nearly vomit.
“That’s of course not nice [but] we have to take it, it’s our responsibility, my responsibility. Maybe I have to be clearer in these situations.
“When my son does something that’s not right probably I have a big part of the responsibility, as I should have explained better.
“The boys are obviously not my sons but it’s a situation that’s not too different. It’s my responsibility. I will tell them that they have a part but there’s nothing else to say.
“I have said all season is that the bad things are my responsibility and the good things are the responsibility of the players.”
