Liverpool FC to pay Ronnie Moran tribute against Everton

Liverpool will pay tribute to Ronnie Moran at this weekend’s Merseyside derby.

Moran, who served the Reds for 49 years as an esteemed player and coach, passed away on March 22 at the age of 83 following a short illness.

Tributes poured in from across the footballing world, including Anfield players past and present as well as Peter Reid and Joe Royle on behalf of Everton.

Steven Gerrard dedicated Liverpool legends’ win over Real Madrid last Saturday to the last surviving member of the club’s original Boot Room dynasty.

 

Anfield is now set to remember to Moran ahead of Saturday’s 228th derby clash.

The Merseyside branch of Liverpool’s Official Supporters’ Club has confirmed plans to commemorate his lifetime dedication to the club in a mosaic.

It has also been announced that a tribute will be paid to the victims of the Hillsborough disaster ahead of Bournemouth’s visit on April 5.
