Liverpool are reportedly holding talks with Lyon full-back Jordy Gaspar.
Gaspar made just three senior appearances for the Ligue 1 side this season but has sparked a tussle among the Reds and several European clubs for his signature.
The 19-year-old is yet to sign professional terms despite his first-team breakthrough and is entertaining options away from the Stade des Lumieres.
According to Telefoot, both Liverpool and AC Milan are in discussions with Gaspar while Bayer Leverkusen and Fiorentina are also monitoring his situation.
Should Lyon continue to fail in their efforts to tie down the defender, he would be available to leave as early as the beginning of May on a free transfer.
Bruno Genesio handed Gaspar a senior debut in his side’s Champions League defeat to Sevilla in September before deploying him against Nice and Bastia.
Despite a lack of regular appearances since then, the versatile France under-20 international has been an unused sub in a further 14 games for Lyon.
Earlier this week Liverpool took Wesly Decas on trial with a view to offering the highly-rated Honduran defender a role in the club’s under-23 set up.
