Liverpool FC line up teenage left-back as Alberto Moreno’s replacement

Liverpool have been linked with a £10 million move for Celtic teenager Kieran Tierney as they seek to solve their issues at left back.

Tierney, 18, has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign at Parkhead this season, making 27 appearances across all competitions, and establishing himself as first choice left back.

The youngster received his first full Scotland cap earlier this month and manager Ronny Delia believes he has all attributes to play at the very top.

“KT can go all the way. He can play at the highest level if he continues to develop.”

Liverpool have been linked with a number of full backs in recent weeks, including FC Koln’s Jonas Hector, as manager Jurgen Klopp appears to have lost faith in Alberto Moreno.

Moreno has been praised for his attacking role in Liverpool’s play this season, however his defensive capabilities still leave a lot to be desired and Klopp appears to be ready for a change.

Any potential move for Tierney would however represent a setback for Liverpool’s young left-backs Brad Smith and Joe Gomez in their push for regular first-team football.
