Liverpool have reportedly renewed their interest in Antonio Adan.
Adan was previously linked with a move to Anfield prior to the signing Loris Karius, who has struggled to establish himself as the club’s number-one.
Simon Mignolet took the German’s place in mid-December but has failed to impress as the Reds recently crashed out of two cup competitions in the space of a week.
But Jurgen Klopp is now said to be renewing his interest in the former Real Madrid stopper, now with Real Betis, in a bid to solve his goalkeeping issues.
According to Marca, the 29-year-old has emerged as a fresh target for Liverpool, with his release clause currently understood to be as little as £6.8 million.
But Klopp will face competition from Marseille, with the Ligue 1 giants also credited with an interest in the race for the ex-Spain U21 international’s signature.
Adan was part of Real’s La Liga-winning side in 2011/12 but moved on to Cagliari just 12 months later after failing to displace Iker Casillas as the club’s first-choice.
