Jurgen Klopp insists he has not ruled out Lazar Markovic’s potential return at Liverpool.
Markovic joined Hull City earlier this week in his second loan of the season after Sporting Lisbon chose to end the winger’s stay earlier than scheduled.
The Serbian winger spent the previous campaign with Fenerbahce after being exiled by Klopp’s predecessor Brendan Rodgers at the beginning of 2015/16.
But the Liverpool manager has refused to close the door on Markovic’s Anfield career despite his continued travails since a £20 million arrival from Benfica.
He said: “He’s still got a contract, so why should I say now ‘There’s no chance for Lazar Markovic’?
“If he plays really well at Hull, then why not?
“He’s still a young boy. We all know we struggled because of a few injuries, [being] in the wrong moment.
“If he can stay fit, and help Hull, for us it’s easier to look than at what he was doing in Portugal.”
