Liverpool eye £17m La Liga left-back

Liverpool are weighing up a £17 million move for Danish left-back Riza Durmisi.

The left back position is a problem for the Reds this season, with James Milner having filled in for much of the season.

Milner, 31, has performed admirably since being asked to play the role by manager Jurgen Klopp but it is evident that he is not a long-term solution in the position.

Alberto Moreno is another option but he has found himself out of the first-team picture since his disastrous performance in the win over Arsenal on the opening day of the season.

A number of left backs have been linked with a move to Anfield as a result and Durmisi is the latest to be added to the list of potential targets.

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool scouts have already checked on the Danish international, who currently turns out for Real Betis in La Liga.

He joined the Spanish side from Brondby last summer and has a buy-out clause of £17 million is his current contract.
