Jurgen Klopp has dismissed claims Liverpool are planning to sign Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as ‘nonsense’.
The Arsenal winger emerged as a possible target for the Reds next month as he strives for regular a regular starting role under Arsene Wenger.
Reports suggested that Oxlade-Chamberlain will available for between £20 million and £25 million when the transfer window reopens on January 1.
But the Liverpool manager has dismissed the suggestions, insisting that he currently has zero interest in making a move for the England international.
“Usually I don’t say anything about transfer rumours,” said Klopp.
“But I can make the exception on this one – nonsense.”
He added: “This kind of thing (speculation), I say nothing because it’s really not interesting what I think about this.
“You are already on a path to do with it what you want but from my side, nothing else to say.”
