Jurgen Klopp admits Liverpool will have to find solutions to cope with the absence of Sadio Mane.
Mane has established himself as one of the Reds’ key men with a series of impressive performances since arriving from Southampton last summer.
So far he has registered eight goals and four assists in 16 Premier League games, his latest goal being the late winner against Everton in the Merseyside derby.
But he will be sorely missed in January when he heads to the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal and Klopp says they must look for solutions in the squad to deal with the winger’s absence.
He said: “A lot of our players are very versatile so that’s what we have to use.
“For this, the players need to be open, I’m sure they are. If you think that the only kind of system we can play is this system that’s not like it is. We need to show this.”
“We cannot change the football world, Sadio is away we have to find solutions.
“They can be, under specific circumstances, in the transfer market but if not they are in the squad.”
