Koln defender Jonas Hector has revealed that he would be keen on a potential transfer to Liverpool.
The 25-year-old remains an ever-present for the Bundesliga club this season, making 24 appearances and forcing his way into Joachim Low’s plans for the German national team ahead of Euro 2016.
Liverpool are understood to be keen on securing the versatile left-back’s services as a potential replacement for Alberto Moreno.
Scouts from Anfield have made trips to Germany to watch Hector in action, with Jurgen Klopp eyeing a potential summer swoop.
And Hector has revealed that the lure of playing under the Reds manager could convince him to join the ranks on Merseyside.
“You always have to consider if you are ready to take the next step but at the moment I am not thinking about it,” he told Eurosport.
“If he (Klopp) were to come calling then I would think about it.”
