La Liga outfit targeting summer moves for out-of-favour Liverpool FC duo

Deportivo La Coruna are targeting out-of-favour Liverpool duo Luis Alberto and Tiago Ilori.

Alberto is currently enjoying a season-long loan spell at El Riazor and could make his return to La Liga a permanent one after failing to stake a claim in the senior ranks at Anfield.

The 24-year-old, a 2013 signing from Sevilla, has recorded six goals but reports in Spain suggest that interest from Valencia will see the Reds spoiled for choice in terms of potential suitors.

Also on Deportivo’s shortlist this summer is Alberto’s Liverpool team mate Ilori, who has also struggled to force his way into Jurgen Klopp’s plans in recent months.

He was recalled from an unsuccessful stint at Aston Villa earlier this year but has been used sporadically since making his belated Liverpool debut, over two-and-a-half years on from his arrival, in an FA Cup encounter against Exeter City.

Ilori, 23, is likely to find himself further out of favour this summer as the impending arrival of Schalke’s Joel Matip is set to kick-start Jurgen Klopp’s planned overhaul of his defence.
