Audacious £25M deal for Liverpool FC forward plotted

Daniel Sturridge could be in line for a £25 million move to Southampton.

The Liverpool striker has failed to stake a claim for a regular starting role under Jurgen Klopp this season and is said to be considering his future options.

West Ham and Stoke City were both previously credited with interest in Sturridge but reports suggest that another Premier League club are now in the hunt.

According to the Daily Express, Southampton are eyeing an initial loan move for the England international with a view to making the transfer permanent next summer.

Claude Puel is thought to have identified Sturridge as the perfect foil to partner Charlie Austin after seeing a host of marksmen leave St Mary’s, including Sadio Mane, who joined Liverpool.
